Πρόσκληση του Υπουργού Προστασίας του Πολίτη στον Τούρκο Υπουργό Εσωτερικών για συνεργασία στην αντιμετώπιση της παράνομης μετανάστευσης και του οργανωμένου εγκλήματος

Ανοιχτή πρόσκληση προς τον Τούρκο Υπουργό Εσωτερικών Beşir Atalay απευθύνει με επιστολή του ο Υπουργός Προστασίας του Πολίτη κ. Μιχάλης Χρυσοχοΐδης, προκειμένου να συζητήσουν από κοντά τα ζητήματα της παράνομης μετανάστευσης και του οργανωμένου εγκλήματος.

Ο Έλληνας Υπουργός επισημαίνει τις εκρηκτικές διαστάσεις που έχει λάβει το πρόβλημα της μη νόμιμης μετανάστευσης την τελευταία δεκαετία και καλεί την τουρκική πλευρά να συνεργαστεί στενά και συστηματικά, προκειμένου να μειωθούν οι παράνομες μεταναστευτικές ροές.

Ο κ. Χρυσοχοΐδης προτάσσει μια σειρά από επιμέρους ζητήματα όπου μπορεί να επιτευχθεί περαιτέρω βελτίωση όπως είναι το Διμερές Πρωτόκολλο Επανεισδοχής, η συνεργασία των Λιμενικών Σωμάτων, η παράνομη διακίνηση ανθρώπων, η καταπολέμηση δικτύων διακίνησης λαθρομεταναστών, η Συμφωνία Επανεισδοχής Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης -Τουρκίας, η Τετραμερής Συνεργασία Ελλάδος-Τουρκίας-Ιράν-Πακιστάν και η ενδεχόμενη συμμετοχή Αφγανιστάν, αλλά και η παροχή τεχνογνωσίας σε θέματα ασύλου. Τέλος, ο κ. Χρυσοχοΐδης καλεί για διεύρυνση της διμερούς συνεργασίας στους τομείς του οργανωμένου εγκλήματος, των ναρκωτικών και της πολιτικής προστασίας.

By this letter I would like to express my wish to hold a meeting with you in the coming month, in order to discuss issues of high importance for both our countries, handled by our ministries.

In particular, regarding illegal immigration, the challenges we have been facing are complex and common, since, in the last decade, the problem has taken explosive dimensions with geometrically increasing flows through the land and sea borders of our Countries.

I believe that the decrease of illegal immigration flows across our Countries’ external borders and the prevention of non-legal aliens illegal entry and movement in the single European Union area can be attained only if we strengthen and further systematize the close cooperation of the two Countries.

Indicatively, I would like to mention some issues, which may need further improvement, such as the Bilateral Readmission Protocol, the cooperation between Port Police Corpses, the illegal trafficking in human beings, the fight against illegal immigrants trafficking networks, the European Union – Turkey Readmission Agreement, the Quadruple Cooperation of Greece – Turkey – Iran – Pakistan and the potential participation of Afghanistan and the supply of know-how on asylum issues.

Moreover, I believe that it is extremely useful and essential to extend our cooperation to other fields as well, such as the fight against organized crime (the fight against rackets engaged in the forgery of documents and against trans-border crimes, information and experience exchange), the illegal trafficking in drugs (exchange of information, exchange of officials’ visits), and the cooperation in issues related to civil protection (natural disasters, extinguishing of forest fires).

Our colleagues, through diplomatic channels, will arrange the exact date and time for our meeting and all the details related to it.
